About
“Choices Made Today Affect MANY Tomorrows“
Meet Shirley!
Hi y’all, I’m Shirley B. Johnson, M.Ed., LBSW, LPC.
I’ve been blessed with a good life because of my faith in God and the support of my family—especially my husband of over 36 years. But my life hasn’t been without challenges. After a painful divorce in 1981, I spent years studying what it takes to have a successful marriage. When I married again six years later, I was determined to apply
what I had learned—not only to my own relationship but also to the couples and families I serve.
For over 30 years, I’ve been helping people discover how to build what I call a stable life—a life rooted in faith, steady in relationships, and resilient even in seasons of chaos.

Why Stable Life Journey?
That’s why I created Stable Life Journey: to help couples and families make the kinds of choices today that lead to trust, connection, and joy tomorrow.
Experience You Can Trust
I bring more than 30 years of professional counseling experience to this work, along with a lifetime of real-world lessons from my diverse career and personal life.
Every role has deepened my ability to understand people from all walks of life—and to offer tools that are both practical and faith-centered.
A Personal Note
Beyond my career, I’m a wife, mom, and grandma who cherishes family. I’ve been married for over 36 years, raised two sons (both military veterans), and now delight in four grandchildren who keep me smiling.
I know what it’s like to walk through heartache and come out stronger. I know the joy of a marriage built on respect and communication, and I’ve lived through the seasons of parenting, empty nesting, and now grandparenting.
Through it all, I’ve seen God’s hand guiding me—teaching me that a stable life isn’t about having perfect circumstances. It’s about building your life on the foundation of faith, honest communication, and intentional choices that create peace and joy for you and your family.
That’s the heart behind Stable Life Journey—and it’s the journey I’d love to invite you into.
